Northwest Missouri State women's basketball completed its first sweep of Missouri Southern since the 2009-10 season with a 78-55 win Saturday afternoon.
The Bearcats (7-10) took a 10-point lead into halftime and never looked back after a 13-0 run that stretched from late second quarter through more than two minutes of the third quarter.
Mallory McConkey started the game a perfect 10-10 and led all scorers with 22 points.
Jayna Green also posted her second career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Molly Hartnett and Jaelyn Haggard rounded out the double-digit scorers with 12 and 11 points, respectively.
The win moves Northwest into the eighth and final MIAA Tournament slot.
The 'Cats are on the road Thursday against Emporia State. Tip off is scheduled for 5:30pm in Emporia, KS. Pregame on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9 begins at 5pm.
